*Ashley’s P.O.V*

I woke up the next morning and looked at my clock. 10:30. I groaned and fell back into my pillow. After staring at the ceiling for a while, I realized that me and Nick were going to hang out today. I stood up and grabbed my phone. I texted Nick, seeing when I should be over, and then walked over to my closet. I decided to wear jeans and a t-shirt. Simple, but not too simple. I walked back to my phone and saw I had a text.
“Call me when you get this…”
It was from Nick. I dialed his number and sat on my bed.
“Hello?” I heard him answer.
“Oh hey Nick… you said to call you?”
“Oh right. About today…” Crap. I knew this wasnt gonna be good
“What is it?” I asked.
“Well last night I kinda told Miley me and her could hang out today…”
My mouth literally dropped.
“WHAT?!” I accidentally screamed. “I-I mean what?”
“Ashley, are you ok?”
“Um yeah… I’ll just call Kalene… I’m sure she’s free,” I said hanging up the phone. I looked at my floor and then at my wall. I just got ditched. For who? Miley. Well now I feel like crap…

I called Kalene and she said she would come right over (with movies and chocolate). I was sitting on my couch watching T.V. and I heard the doorbell ring.
“Kalene come in, its open!” I yelled. I heard the door open, but I didn’t bother turning around.
“Ashley…” I heard someone, not Kalene, say while putting their hand on my shoulder. I screamed and jumped off the couch, falling onto the floor. A.N Yeah, I would totally do that just fyi
“WHAT THE CRAP!?” I screamed. I looked up at the figure and my mouth dropped again.
“Nick?” I said.
“Yeah, you ok?” he asked helping me up.
“Yeah I’m fine. Shouldn’t you be somewhere with Miley?”
He looked down at the ground. “Nick… I didn’t mean it like that…”
“No, I was jerk. But I called her and told her today wouldn’t work out.”
I smiled on the inside. “Oh, ok. Well Kalene is actually on here way over…” I said to him. I heard the doorbell ring so I walked to the door.
“I brought- Nick?”
“Hey Kalene,” he said.
“Um right. What did I miss?”
Nick canceled with Miley,” I said to her.
“Oh got it. Well, I’ll leave you two be. Ash, I’m coming over tonight though. Got it?” I laughed and nodded. Kalene waved goodbye and went home.

“So Nick, where we going?”
“The carnival.”
I had totally forgot the carnival was in town. I went upstairs and grabbed a jacket and we walked to the carnival. Half way there, me and Nick’s hands starting brushing against each other. I was blushing and Nick noticed our hands kept touching. So he grabbed my hand. I could have died, but I kept it cool. We finally got to the carnival, so we bought our tickets, and went in.
But as soon as we did, my spirits were crushed because standing at the entrance in a mini skirt and tank top was little miss… Miley.
